Protecting children and vulnerable adults is important to us at Tōtara Springs. We recognise that there are no perfect programs, however, with this CPP we are striving to protect those in our care.
Hiring & Training Process
We take the hiring process seriously. We begin screening applicants right from the beginning. Here are the basic steps taken before an applicant is hired:

Police Vetting
Training focusing on spiritual growth, activities, safety, and supervision
During training we discuss and prepare our teams with our Child Protection Plan. We have a document that is shared with volunteers & staff during training prior to camp.
